A brass model of an early Yorkshire mill steam engine. This was started over 50 years ago and came to the retired toolroom engineer who now builds model steam engines, just over a year ago as an unfinished project. Double wheels suggest it was a steel mill engine, the original engineer who commissioned it, came from Steel city Sheffield. This possibly could be a one off, however we have no province to prove this as the original engineer is no longer with us. Runs well and sounds like (Yorkshire accent),''ey lad, like a steam engine should on low air pressure (5 psi).
The engine has been lovingly and carefully restored in great authentic detail with high precision engineering. This is one of two engines the engineer has asked me to put up for sale, Lady Stephanie being the other, not only do these engines work they are visually stunning. The engine will be delivered by Hermes and will need signing for. The item "A live working model of an old Yorkshire mill brass steam engine" is in sale since Friday, August 23, 2019.
